How do I get started?

Pre-Waxing Preparation Instructions

  • Schedule: Book your appointment at least 4–6 weeks after your last shaving or hair removal method (plucking, waxing, electrolysis) to allow hair to reach 1/4"–1/2" (about 6–12 mm) in length.

  • Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs. Use a mild scrub or chemical exfoliant (AHA/BHA) if your skin tolerates it. Do not exfoliate on the day of the wax.

  • Clean skin: Arrive with clean, dry skin free of lotions, oils, heavy perfumes, or deodorant. Oils and creams reduce wax adhesion.

  • Pain management: If you experience sensitivity, take an over-the-counter pain reliever (ibuprofen or acetaminophen) 30–60 minutes before your appointment, unless you have a medical reason not to. Avoid blood-thinning medications only if your prescribing clinician has advised; consult them first.

  • Clothing: Loose and breathable.
